We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Planeta-Univ. (5-7) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Dynamo Moscow (5-7) 79-68. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo Moscow. Planeta-Univ. was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Aleksei Karpeko (194-89) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Nikita Morgunov (210-75, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward David Loubeau (203-89, college: Texas A&M) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward James Ellisor (195-90, college: Bemidji St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Planeta-Univ.Four Planeta-Univ. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo Moscow moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Planeta-Univ. Planeta-Univ. lost their third game in a row. Dynamo Moscow's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Moscow to the arena Spartak Vidnoye.
