There was no surprise when 12th ranked Volgograd (4-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (7-6) 90-77. The game was mostly controlled by TEMP-SUMZ Revda. Volgograd was better in third quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TEMP-SUMZ Revda made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Volgograd turnovers. Strangely Volgograd outrebounded TEMP-SUMZ Revda 38-25 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Vitaly Kuznetsov (196-88) notched 25 points to lead the effort and guard Dmitriy Kachanko (200-86) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Ukrainian guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82) did not help to save the game for Volgograd. Center Andrey Voron (208-87) added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Four TEMP-SUMZ Revda and five Volgograd players scored in double figures. Volgograd's coach Andrey Laletin let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TEMP-SUMZ Revda moved-up to eighth place. Volgograd at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. TEMP-SUMZ Revda's next round opponent will be Dynamo Moscow (#9) on the road. Volgograd will play against Sojuz Zaretchny and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
