Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kaposvari (11-4) against ninth ranked Marso NYKK (6-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Kaposvari was defeated by Marso NYKK in a tough game in Nyiregyhazi 75-84. It looked good early as Kaposvari took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Marso NYKK had a 23-16 second period charge getting the lead and Kaposvari was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-84. It was an exceptional evening for Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Mate Mohacsi (192-90) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Marso NYKK players scored in double figures. American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Court Side) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Roland Hendlein (203-86, agency: TSS Management) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Kaposvari in the defeat. Marso NYKK maintains ninth place with 6-9 record. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Marso NYKK will play against higher ranked ZTE KK (#8) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaposvari will play at home against PVSK Pannon (#5) in Pecs and hopes to get back on the winning track.
