No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Dynamo Moscow (8-7) beat on the road 14th ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (3-12) 73-66 on Friday. Sojuz Zaretchny trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 19-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 66-73 at the end of the game. Dynamo Moscow outrebounded Sojuz Zaretchny 44-30 including a 35-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dynamo Moscow especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Sojuz Zaretchny was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Nikita Morgunov (210-75, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Aleksei Karpeko (194-89) contributed with 7 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Belarusian guard Maksim Shustau (188-86) replied with 18 points and forward Denis Novikov (200-85) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sojuz Zaretchny. Four Sojuz Zaretchny players scored in double figures. Sojuz Zaretchny's coach Sergey Mostovschikov let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dynamo Moscow have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with TEMP-SUMZ and AltajBasket. Sojuz Zaretchny at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Dynamo Moscow will face league's leader Universitet-Yugra in Surgut in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sojuz Zaretchny will play on the road against AltajBasket (#8) in Barnau.
