Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dynamo Moscow (9-3) against fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (8-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Dynamo Moscow was defeated by Spartak Vidnoye in Vidnoye 87-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Dynamo Moscow. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Spartak Vidnoye forced 22 Dynamo Moscow turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international point guard Becky Hammon (175-77, college: Colorado St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 assists and French center Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-86) supported her with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Five Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks by the former international center Tatiana Vidmer (191-86) did not help to save the game for Dynamo Moscow. American power forward Crystal Langhorne (188-86, college: Maryland) added 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak Vidnoye have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Dynamo Moscow at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will play against Nadezhda Orenburg (#4) on the road in the next round. Dynamo Moscow will play against Energy Ivanovo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
