Superlaegue top team - Universitet-Yugra (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Severstal (4-14) in Cherepovec 84-53. Universitet-Yugra made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Severstal only scored three points from the stripe. Universitet-Yugra forced 20 Severstal turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 24 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian point guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Universitet-Yugra players scored in double figures. Universitet-Yugra's coach Sergei Olhov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 7 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Pavel Zhukanenko (194-86) added 13 points in the effort for Severstal. Universitet-Yugra have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Severstal at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Sojuz Zaretchny.
