No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (13-3) crushed at home 9th ranked Dynamo Moscow (8-9) 78-59. They outrebounded Dynamo Moscow 42-18 including a 29-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Dynamo Moscow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Chris Monroe (191-81, college: G.Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Forward Dmitri Nikolaev (200-83) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side guard Gleb Plotnikov (190-91, agency: Interperformances) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and guard Artur Urazmanov (186-87) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ural Ekaterinburg moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Dynamo Moscow keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Ural Ekaterinburg will play against Novosybirsk (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
