PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Dynamo-GUVD (4-10) in Novosibirsk 83-57. The game without a history. UMMC Ekaterinburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo-GUVD's 30. UMMC Ekaterinburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dynamo-GUVD's players. It was a great evening for Latvian Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (177-83) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) helped adding 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American Sidney Spencer (191-85, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and center Anastasiya Loginova (190-90) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Dynamo-GUVD at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg are looking forward to face Dynamo Moscow (#4) on the road in the next round. Dynamo-GUVD will play against Spartak Vidnoye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
