No shocking result in a game in Nicosia where second ranked Etha (16-5) defeated 6th ranked AEL (6-15) 73-66. It looked good early as AEL took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Etha had a 21-13 second period charge getting the lead and AEL was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-73. Etha forced 22 AEL turnovers. It was a good game for American guard C.J. Williams (195, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 4 assists. British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 10 points and 6 assists for the winners. Serbian forward Milutin Aleksic (203-82) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Irish-Serbian power forward Mihajlo Pesic (206-81, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for AEL. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Etha. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Keravnos. AEL lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost.
