Regular Season Round 20: Soproni - Jaszberenyi 60-64

The most shocking disappointment of round 20 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Soproni (11-9) to fifth ranked Jaszberenyi (12-8) 64-60 in the game for the fourth place. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Soproni won second period 15-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Soproni 46-32 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and Serbian swingman Milos Markovic (201-84) who added 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists and Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Soproni players scored in double figures. Jaszberenyi have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Soproni at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Jaszberenyi are looking forward to face ZTE KK (#10) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round where they are favorite. Soproni will play on the road against Kaposvari (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
