We should mention about the upset which took place in Moscow, where higher ranked Ruskon-Mordovia (12-9) lost to ninth ranked Dynamo Moscow (11-9) in a road game 62-67 on Friday. Forward Aleksei Karpeko (194-89) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Aleksei Savkov (196-79, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. Dynamo Moscow's coach Aleksandr Afanasaev used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Nikita Gresev (204-88) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (203-84) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Dynamo Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with TEMP-SUMZ and AltajBasket. Loser Ruskon-Mordovia keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ryazan. Dynamo Moscow will meet higher ranked Ataman (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ruskon-Mordovia will play against AltajBasket in Barnau and hope to secure a win.
