Second Stage Round 5: Cegledi EKK - Atomeromu 88-70

The game between third ranked Atomeromu (9-7) and fourth ranked Cegledi EKK (7-9) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Atomeromu was defeated by Cegledi EKK in Cegled 88-70. The game was mostly controlled by Cegledi EKK. Atomeromu managed to win third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Atomeromu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Polish power forward Natalia Mrozinska (191-84) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Anett Serban (185-85) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. International Reka Balint (182-91) produced 14 points and 7 assists and Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cegledi EKK maintains fourth place in Division with 7-9 record. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Cegledi EKK are looking forward to face MBK Eurl.Vasas (#6) in Budapest in the next round. Atomeromu will play at home against the league's second-placed ZTE NKK in Zalaegerszeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
