Leader CSKA Moscow delivered the twelfth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Spartak-Prim. (3-7) 94-55. CSKA Moscow dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak-Prim.'s 24 and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Spartak-Prim. 35-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. CSKA Moscow looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Spartak-Prim.'s players. The best player for the winners was international center Andrey Vorontsevich (207-87) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Dmitry Sokolov (214-85) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Nigerian Chamberlain Oguchi (198-86, college: Illinois St.) produced 10 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA Moscow (12-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Spartak-Prim. at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. CSKA Moscow are looking forward to face BC Nizhny Novgorod (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spartak-Prim. will have a break next round.
