Regular Season Round 22: Kormend - Atomeromu 94-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Kormend between second ranked Atomeromu (16-6) and seventh ranked Kormend (11-11) on Saturday night. Atomeromu was defeated by Kormend in a tough game on the road 85-94. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atomeromu. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Atomeromu won third quarter 27-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Csaba Ferencz (195-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Kormend's coach Tamas Hencsey used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 23 points and American point guard Lorenzo Williams (189-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kormend have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Soproni and Falco-Szova. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost.
