Second Stage Round 7: Atomeromu - BSE-FCSM 74-73

Fifth-ranked BSE-FCSM (6-13) made lots of trouble for third ranked Atomeromu (10-9) in Szekszard. Atomeromu managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected easier game. It looked good early as BSE-FCSM took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Atomeromu had a 24-14 second period charge getting the lead and BSE-FCSM was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-74. Atomeromu made 25-of-33 charity shots (75.8 percent) during the game. BSE-FCSM was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists. Forward Dorina Zele (185-92) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Lilla Adamecz (181-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Zsofia Katona (169-90) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BSE-FCSM. Four BSE-FCSM players scored in double figures. Atomeromu maintains third place in Division with 10-9 record having six points less than leader Bacsbasket. BSE-FCSM at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Atomeromu will play against MBK Eurl.Vasas (#6) in Budapest in the next round. BSE-FCSM will play at home against Cegledi EKK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
