The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Albacomp as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Division. Albacomp defeated bottom-ranked Jaszberenyi in Szekesfehervar 83-78. It looked good early as Jaszberenyi took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Albacomp had a 29-17 second period charge getting the lead and Jaszberenyi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-83. American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The other American import forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Albacomp players scored in double figures. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Jaszberenyi. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Jaszberenyi at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Jaszberenyi will play next round against strong Atomeromu trying to get back on the winning streak. Albacomp will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Kaposvari on the road.
