The hosts rout visiting CCC Polkowice in Day 1 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinal Stage. UMMC won 68:45 and extended their unbeaten home record. The game was mostly controlled by UMMC Ekaterinburg. CCC Polkowice was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CCC Polkowice to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Candace Parker stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Sandrine Gruda chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Jekabsone-Zogota followed them with 11 points in a win. At the losing side Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Magdalena Leciejewska scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Snell scored 8 and Palau added 7. Tomorrow Galatasaray will take on CCC Polkowice at the end of the day. Good Angels Kosice will face UMMC in the third game of the day.
