Second Stage Round 4: Kaposvari - Szolnok 85-103

An interesting game for Szolnok (3-1) which played road game in Kaposvar against 4th ranked Kaposvari (1-3). Third ranked Szolnok had an easy win 103-85. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Szolnok's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-19 extending their advantage to 18 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Kaposvari's 42. They outrebounded Kaposvari 43-22 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Szolnok looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian forward Ernests Kalve (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Rashad Bell (201-82, college: Boston U.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Szolnok's coach Neno Asceric used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Court Side) replied with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and American-Kittitian swingman Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 22 points in the effort for Kaposvari. Defending champion moved-up to second place in Division. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Szolnok are looking forward to face league's leader Albacomp in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kaposvari will play on the road against Jaszberenyi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
