Regular Season Round 2: Sopron KC - PVSK Pannon 70-64

Sopron KC used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Pecs 70-64 on Wednesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But PVSK Pannon won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Garrett Green (210-89, college: San Diego St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Peter Kovacs (189-88) added 17 points in the effort for PVSK Pannon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sopron KC will face KTE-Duna Aszfalt in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. PVSK Pannon will play against Kormend and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
