Very important is a road loss of Stroitiel Engels (1-1) against Sogdiana-Skif (1-1) on Monday night. Visiting Stroitiel Engels were crushed by Sogdiana-Skif in Voronezh 93-60. The game without a history. Sogdiana-Skif led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Stroitiel Engels' 38. Sogdiana-Skif forced 22 Stroitiel Engels turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sogdiana-Skif players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Valeriy Rogatchev (200-76) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Even 18 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by forward Aleksandr Podosinnikov (200-85) did not help to save the game for Stroitiel Engels. Guard Andrey Kubankin (193-92) added 8 points and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
