Regular Season Round 3: Stary Sobol NT - Kamit-Univ. 107-72

No shocking result in a game when Stary Sobol NT (2-0) crushed Kamit-Univ. (0-2) in Nizhny Tagil 107-72. The game was mostly controlled by Stary Sobol NT. Kamit-Univ. was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stary Sobol NT dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Kamit-Univ.'s 52. Stary Sobol NT forced 37 Kamit-Univ. turnovers and had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Kamit-Univ.'s players. It was a great evening for swingman Aleksandr Golubev (194-78) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Roman Kshniakin (205-82) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Stary Sobol NT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Sergey Ivanov (183-95) with 17 points and guard Nikita Rusinov (192-95) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stary Sobol NT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kamit-Univ. will play on the road against Neftekhimik T. (#2) in Tobolsk and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
