Regular Season Round 2: Atomeromu - ZTE NKK 65-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of ZTE NKK (2-1) in Szekszard on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Atomeromu (2-1) 65-64. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 33-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87, agency: IPSA) saved the victory by scoring 14 points and 4 assists. Forward Dorina Zele (185-92) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Zsofia Varga (182-89) replied with 24 points and the former international forward Tunde Czukor (181-84) added 16 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for ZTE NKK. Atomeromu is looking forward to face MTK in Budapest in the next round, which may be the game of the day. ZTE NKK will play at home against MKB Eurl.Vasas and is hoping to win this game.
