Regular Season Round 4: Rodniki Izh. - Dynamo-MGTU 75-79

Undefeated Rodniki Izh. (0-1) recorded its first loss in Izhevsk. Hosts were defeated by top-ranked Dynamo-MGTU (3-0) 79-75. It looked good early as Rodniki Izh. took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo-MGTU had a 29-11 second period charge getting the lead and Rodniki Izh. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-79. Strangely Rodniki Izh. outrebounded Dynamo-MGTU 37-24 including a 21-5 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-91) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ivan Feshchenko (201-91) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds by Stanislav Dubinin (196-90) did not help to save the game for Rodniki Izh.. Swingman Vladislav Lotarev (191-88) added 14 points and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dynamo-MGTU maintains second position in League with 3-0 record having just 0 victories less than leader Neftekhimik T. Rodniki Izh. at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rodniki Izh. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dynamo-MGTU (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
