The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Neftekhimik T. as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Neftekhimik T. smashed bottom-ranked Kamit-Univ. in Tobolsk 100-52. The game without a history. Neftekhimik T. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Kamit-Univ.'s 40. Neftekhimik T. forced 40 Kamit-Univ. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kamit-Univ.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Neftekhimik T. made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sergey Markelov (198-84) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Mikhail Kautin (214-86) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Neftekhimik T. players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Nikita Potapov (197-94) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Albert Tatevosyan (194-93) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Kamit-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Kamit-Univ. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Neftekhimik T. will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Kamit-Univ. in Tver.
