Regular Season Round 3: Samara-SGEU - Dynamo MO 60-70

Not a big story in a game when Samara-SGEU (0-2) was defeated at home by Dynamo Moscow (1-0) 70-60 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo Moscow. Samara-SGEU managed to win third quarter 22-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Samara-SGEU to just 7 points in second quarter. Dynamo Moscow dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Samara-SGEU's 26. The best player for the winners was Andrey Loginov (203-93) who scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Denis Zakharov (193-93) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Sergey Toporov (197-81) who recorded 37 points (!!!) and Aleksey Chilikin (208-93) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo Moscow will meet Avtodor (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Samara-SGEU will play against Ataman (#10) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
