Regular Season Round 6: Kormend - Szedeak 81-88
Date: November 2, 2013
Very significant was Szedeak's (#8) 88-81 road victory against 7th ranked Kormend. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 27-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jerrell Williams (203-88, college: La Salle) notched 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) supported him with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Even 15 points, 9 assists and 4 steals by American guard Jeremy Fears (196-85, college: Bradley) did not help to save the game for Kormend. Montenegrin center Marko Rakocevic (205-83) added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kormend's coach Tamas Hencsey rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Szedeak (3-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kaposvari. Kormend at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with PVSK Pannon. Szedeak will play against Kaposvari (#7) at home in the next round. Kormend will play against the league's second-placed KTE-Duna Aszfalt where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
