An interesting game for Elbrus Cherk. (4-4) which played road game in Stavropol against 3rd placed Dynamo-Stavr. (5-3). Second ranked Elbrus Cherk. had an easy win 86-70. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning next two quarters and won the game by 16 points. Elbrus Cherk. dominated on the defensive end, holding Dynamo-Stavr. to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game. Elbrus Cherk. forced 24 Dynamo-Stavr. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Roman Bazhunaishvili (199-90) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Ruslan Khakunov (192-90) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Aleksey Vagner (204-83) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Igor Gutnev (194-92) added 15 points respectively for Dynamo-Stavr. in the defeat. Dynamo-Stavr.'s coach Gennadi Samarskiy tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Elbrus Cherk. went down to third position due to points difference. Dynamo-Stavr. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
