Important game to mention about took place in Stavropol. Third ranked Dynamo-Stavr. (5-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging their biggest opponent Elbrus Cherk. (4-4) 80-78 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Elbrus Cherk.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 26-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. Dynamo-Stavr. forced 21 Elbrus Cherk. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a great evening for forward Aleksey Ostrovskiy (202-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Power forward Aleksey Vagner (204-83) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Dynamo-Stavr. players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Oleg Buznyakov (208-88) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and center Evgeniy Gapochka (210-86) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Dynamo-Stavr. moved-up to second place. Elbrus Cherk. at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
