There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Falco KC (0-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Sopron KC (5-2) 78-69 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Falco KC won second period 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Gabor Denes (198-82, agency: TSS Management) fired 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Jonathon Thompson (193-90, college: Rider) chipped in 19 points. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. International power forward Miklos Szabo (205-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and British point guard Justin Robinson (187-87, college: Rider, agency: Two Points) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Sopron KC have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Alba. Loser Falco KC still closes the standings with seven games lost. Sopron KC will face Kaposvari (#5) on the road in the next round. Falco KC will play against Szedeak (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
