ZTE NKK smashed MKB Eurl.Vasas in Zalaegerszeg 83-64. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when ZTE NKK's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-11 extending their advantage to 19 points. They also forced 21 MKB Eurl.Vasas turnovers. Strangely MKB Eurl.Vasas outrebounded ZTE NKK 36-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international forward Zsofia Varga (182-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international forward Tunde Czukor (181-84) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four ZTE NKK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Bernadett Hatar (208-94) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. MKB Eurl.Vasas' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. MKB Eurl.Vasas will play next round against strong MTK trying to get back on the winning streak. ZTE NKK will try to continue on its current victory against Atomeromu in Szekszard.
