Regular Season Round 5: Spartak V MR - Nadezhda O. 89-59

Undefeated Nadezhda Orenburg (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Spartak Vidnoye 89-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nadezhda Orenburg. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nadezhda Orenburg to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Spartak Vidnoye dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Nadezhda Orenburg's 32. It was a great shooting night for Spartak Vidnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Sonja Petrovic (189-89) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. International Eugeniya Belyakova (182-86, agency: IPSA) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Spartak Vidnoye's coach Alexandr Vasin felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Natalia Zhedik (184-88) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Spartak Vidnoye moved-up to third place, which they share with Nadezhda O. Spartak Vidnoye is looking forward to face Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nadezhda Orenburg will play against Dyn.-GUVD (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
