Regular Season Round 8: Sogdiana-Skif - Kamit-Univ. 96-55

Bottom-ranked Kamit-Univ. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked Sogdiana-Skif (3-2) 96-55 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Sogdiana-Skif led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kamit-Univ.'s 30. Sogdiana-Skif forced 30 Kamit-Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 24 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sogdiana-Skif made 7 blocks. Naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Mikhail Boiko (192-90) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Guard Nikita Rusinov (192-95) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Albert Tatevosyan (194-93) added 17 points in the effort for Kamit-Univ.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sogdiana-Skif moved-up to third place in League. Loser Kamit-Univ. still closes the standings with five games lost. Sogdiana-Skif will face again Kamit-Univ.
