Important game to mention about took place in Surgut. Second ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (6-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Universitet-Yugra (3-4) 88-85 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Universitet-Yugra won third quarter 27-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universitet-Yugra was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Anton Glazunov (181-86) contributed with 3 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and guard Anton Ageev (191-84) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Universitet-Yugra. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ural Ekaterinburg keeps a position of league leader. Universitet-Yugra lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
