Bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (0-6) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (5-1) 89-51. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak Vidnoye. Spartak Noginsk was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spartak Vidnoye dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Noginsk's 24. Spartak Vidnoye forced 20 Spartak Noginsk turnovers and outrebounded them 45-23 including a 33-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Kazakhstan power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Sonja Petrovic (189-89) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Maria Merzliakova (178-86) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Marina Karpunina (178-84) added 11 points in the effort for Spartak Noginsk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Spartak Vidnoye. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Dynamo M. and Nadezhda O. Spartak Noginsk lost their sixth game in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. Spartak Vidnoye's next round opponent will be Vologda-Chevakata (#6) at home. Spartak Noginsk will play against Dyn.-GUVD (#8) in Novosibirsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
