Regular Season Round 11: Falco KC - Kaposvari 80-76

There was an upset when 4th placed Kaposvari (7-4) lost to eleventh ranked Falco KC (3-8) in Szombathely 76-80 on Wednesday. Kaposvari was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 19-12 charge of Falco KC, which allowed them to win the game. Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Falco KC players scored in double figures. American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) answered with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 blocks (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international Roland Hendlein (203-86, agency: TSS Management) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kaposvari. Falco KC moved-up to tenth place, which they share with PVSK Pannon. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Falco KC will face higher ranked ZTE KK (#7) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaposvari will play against KTE-Duna Aszfalt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
