Regular Season Round 9: Avtodor - TEMP-SUMZ 101-78

Superleague top team - Avtodor (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (3-5) in Saratov 101-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TEMP-SUMZ Revda. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-78. Avtodor dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to TEMP-SUMZ Revda's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Artem Klimenko (214-94) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Ivan Strebkov (192-91) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Avtodor's coach Vladimir Antsiferov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Maxim Dybovskiy (192-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Maksim Zakharov (198-89, college: E.Utah JC) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Avtodor maintains first place with 7-1 record. TEMP-SUMZ Revda at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Avtodor are looking forward to face Parma (#10) in Perm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TEMP-SUMZ Revda will play on the road against Samara-SGEU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
