A very interesting game took place in Krasnoyarsk. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 9th ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (1-6) to seventh ranked Energy Ivanovo (3-4) 65-64 on Sunday evening. Enisey Krasnoyarsk was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 17-11 charge of Energy Ivanovo, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-91, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Viktoria Medvedeva (183-91) supported her with 15 points. Energy Ivanovo's coach Andrey Dolopchi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by center Elena Gogiya (191-87, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Swingman Elena Pavlova (185-89, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Energy Ivanovo moved-up to sixth place. Enisey Krasnoyarsk lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Energy Ivanovo's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (#10) at home. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against Dynamo Moscow and hope to win that game.
