Regular Season Round 19: BK Tambov - MBA Moscow 65-66

Top ranked BK Tambov (13-5) recorded its fifth loss at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked MBA Moscow (11-3) 66-65. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BK Tambov won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Alexander Tikhonin (205-92) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Sergei Krasavtsev (208-82) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Valeriy Grishin (198-86) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and center Artem Pugachev (208-88) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted MBA Moscow maintains second place in League with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Neftekhimik T. BK Tambov at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. MBA Moscow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BK Tambov will play at home against BK 1716 and is hoping to win this game.
