Regular Season Round 15: Alba - Kormend 90-93

The most exciting game of round 15 in the A Division took place in Szekesfehervar. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Alba (9-5) to sixth ranked Kormend (8-7) 93-90 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 31-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Alba outrebounded Kormend 22-0 including a 16- advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: TSS Management) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 assists. American-Liberian guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: TSS Management) contributed with 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international forward Norbert Toth (203-86, agency: TSS Management) answered with 27 points and American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Alba. Five Kormend and four Alba players scored in double figures. Kormend have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 8-7 record. Defending champion Alba keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Kormend are looking forward to face higher ranked Sopron KC (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alba will play against Kaposvari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
