Regular Season Round 20: Tegas DR - Dynamo-MGTU 88-76

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Dynamo-MGTU (9-7) lost on the road to sixth ranked Tegas DR (8-11) 88-76 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Tegas DR. Dynamo-MGTU was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Aleksandr Stepanov (205-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Andrey Dorofeev (203-90) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Tegas DR players scored in double figures. point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-91) replied with 32 points and power forward Sergey Bolotskikh (206-90) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo-MGTU. Newly promoted Tegas DR maintains sixth position in League with 8-11 record. Loser Dynamo-MGTU keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Tegas DR will have a break next round. Dynamo-MGTU will play on the road against Elbrus Cherk. (#7) in Cherkessk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
