Regular Season Round 7: Atomeromu - MKB Eurl.Vasas 69-63

Leader Atomeromu delivered the sixth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked MKB Eurl.Vasas (2-9) 69-63 in Szekszard. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MKB Eurl.Vasas won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely MKB Eurl.Vasas outrebounded Atomeromu 33-0 including a 23- advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87, agency: IPSA) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Shamika Singleton (185-89, college: Concordia, TX, agency: IPSA) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and forward Krisztina Sule (178-87) added 23 points in the effort for MKB Eurl.Vasas. Atomeromu maintains first place with 6-4 record. MKB Eurl.Vasas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Atomeromu will play against MTK (#3) in Budapest in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MKB Eurl.Vasas will have a break next round.
