Very expected game when 10th ranked Parma (4-10) lost to fifth ranked Universitet-Yugra (10-5) in Surgut 84-102. The game was mostly controlled by Universitet-Yugra. Parma was better in fourth quarter 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Parma 44-31 including 28 on the offensive glass. Universitet-Yugra players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Parma was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) stepped up and scored 31 points and 7 assists for the winners and forward Denis Hloponin (206-81) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Universitet-Yugra's coach Sergei Olhov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Aleksandr Vinnik (213-89) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Nikolay Zhmako (196-89) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Universitet-Yugra maintains fifth place with 10-5 record. Parma lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Samara-SGEU. Universitet-Yugra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Parma will play on the road against Irkut Irkutsk (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
