Regular Season Round 10: Atomeromu - MTK 90-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Szekszard. Second ranked host Atomeromu (8-5) defeated 4th ranked MTK (6-8) 90-79. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. MTK managed to win fourth quarter 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game. Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87, agency: IPSA) fired 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Dorina Zele (185-92) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: IPSA) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and Szonja Vukov (182-94) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atomeromu maintains second position with 8-5 record having just -5 point less than leader UNI Gyor. MTK lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Atomeromu will meet ZTE NKK (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MTK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest MKB Eurl.Vasas.
