We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Stroitiel Engels (10-10) were rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Dynamo Kursk (9-11) 94-65 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo Kursk. Stroitiel Engels was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo Kursk made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Dynamo Kursk outrebounded Stroitiel Engels 50-31 including a 38-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Stroitiel Engels were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (202-82, college: Binghamton) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. point guard Artur Uskov (178-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Dynamo Kursk players scored in double figures. Guard Konstantin Derevyanko (190-87) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anton Kobylinskiy (195-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo Kursk maintains sixth place in League with 9-11 record. Newly promoted Stroitiel Engels keep the fifth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
