No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sogdiana-Skif (12-8) crushed bottom-ranked Kamit-Univ. (0-20) in Tver 128-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sogdiana-Skif led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Kamit-Univ.'s 36. Sogdiana-Skif forced 36 Kamit-Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-27 including a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sogdiana-Skif looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kamit-Univ.'s players. Naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Denis Bzhevskiy (202-78) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Dmitriy Pryakhin (198-95) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Albert Tatevosyan (194-93) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kamit-Univ.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sogdiana-Skif moved-up to third place in League. Loser Kamit-Univ. still closes the standings with 20 games lost. Sogdiana-Skif will face Krasn.Krylia S. (#7) in Samara in the next round.
