We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked BK 1716 (7-17) was outscored by eighth ranked Elbrus Cherk. (7-17) in Omsk 78-58 on Monday. The game without a history. Elbrus Cherk. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while BK 1716 only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded BK 1716 45-33 including a 33-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. BK 1716 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch.
