Regular Season Round 20: Atomeromu - Szedeak 79-65

Very expected game in Paks where 8th ranked Szedeak (7-13) was defeated by first ranked Atomeromu (16-4) 79-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Szedeak was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Szedeak 45-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Rodney McGruder (193-91, college: Kansas St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). International forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Atomeromu's coach Branislav Dzunic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Jerrell Williams (203-88, college: La Salle) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Atomeromu maintains first position with 16-4 record. Szedeak at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 13 games lost. Atomeromu will face Sopron KC (#4) on the road in the next round. Szedeak will play against Jaszberenyi (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
