Regular Season Round 20: Jaszberenyi - Sopron KC 76-84

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Jaszberenyi (7-13) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Sopron KC (13-7) 84-76 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-17. But Jaszberenyi won second period 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle, agency: TSS Management) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Five Sopron KC players scored in double figures. American guard Nikolas Raivio (191-86, college: Portland) produced 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Gabor Soos (200-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Sopron KC have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Jaszberenyi at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Sopron KC will face league's leader Atomeromu in Paks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jaszberenyi will play on the road against Szedeak (#10) in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
