Regular Season Round 21: Sopron KC - Atomeromu 59-76

An interesting game for Atomeromu (17-4) which played road game in Sopron against 4th placed Sopron KC (13-8). First ranked Atomeromu had an easy win 76-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sopron KC. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Sopron KC managed to win third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Sopron KC's 20. Atomeromu forced 20 Sopron KC turnovers. It was a good game for American Rodney McGruder (193-91, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (207-90) answered with 8 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Norbert Takacs (197-90, agency: TSS Management) added 13 points in the effort for Sopron KC. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomeromu maintains first place with 17-4 record. Sopron KC at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Atomeromu are looking forward to face Jaszberenyi (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sopron KC will play against Szedeak (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
