Rather expected game when Cegledi EKK (0-10) lost to ZTE NKK (5-6) in Zalaegerszeg 56-74. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE NKK. Cegledi EKK was better in third quarter 14-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when ZTE NKK won last quarter 26-9. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Zsofia Varga (182-89) who scored 20 points. Serbian guard Smiljana Ivanovic (176-88) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. ZTE NKK's coach Tamas Gall allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) who recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian center Ivona Jerkovic (200-84, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively. ZTE NKK's next round opponent will be PINKK-Pecsi (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cegledi EKK will play against MTK (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
